adverbial and adjectival questions

These are questions that grammarians use to determine whether a given word, phrase, or clause is functioning as an adjective or an adverb.

  Adverbial questions: Examples:   video  or  powerpoint
how? Jeb ran quickly.
why? Jeb studied to earn his degree.
where? Jeb slept under the bridge.
when? Jeb ate his food after sunset.

how many? Six dogs chased Jeb.
what kind? The oak tree near the house must be removed.
which one? The large book must be burned.
