2. Even at the grammatical level, Genesis recognizes that, prior to the first appearance of berith, there was a berith. There is berith prior to Genesis 6.18.

3. Here, refers to the Covenant of Grace (COG) rather than the COW, but the principle allows, also, for a pre-Fall COW.
